Hello! My name is Matthew, and I’m the founder of TechShield KC LLC. My commitment to serving Kansas City’s senior community began long before my career in technology, even before I built my first PC at age 12. I grew up in a family rooted deeply in public service, and some of my earliest memories are of visiting senior living facilities with my mother. I remember sitting with residents, listening to their stories, and learning firsthand the value of patience, kindness, and connection. Those moments stayed with me and shaped how I view the world.

Over the past 20+ years, I've built a career in IT, from a service desk agent to supporting major Kansas City companies like AMC and Garmin, and eventually leading as Midwest Regional Director of IT and Director of Hardware Procurement for a multi-billion-dollar organization. 

Across every chapter of my career, one thing became increasingly clear: seniors, their families, and the communities around them need someone they can trust, someone who can break down complex technology, offer honest guidance, and help protect them from the digital threats they face today, like the $4.9 billion lost to scams targeting seniors in 2024 alone. 

TechShield KC is the continuation of that lifelong connection to service. It exists because everyone deserves to feel confident and safe online, regardless of age or tech experience. And it's built on the values my mother and father taught me: patience, kindness, and showing up when people need help.
