Hello! My name is Matt, and I’m the founder of TechShield KC. My commitment to serving the Kansas City senior community started long before my career in technology (even though I built my first PC at 12). I grew up in a family dedicated to public service, but some of my earliest memories involve visiting senior living facilities with my mother, spending time with residents, and listening to their stories. Those experiences stayed with me and sparked a lifelong appreciation for seniors and the challenges they face with today’s fast-changing technology.
I’ve spent more than 20+ working in IT, starting on a small service desk and eventually supporting organizations of all sizes, from local nonprofits and small businesses to major Kansas City companies like AMC and Garmin. I later stepped into leadership roles, including serving as the Midwest Regional Director of IT and Director of Hardware Procurement for a multi-billion-dollar organization.
Through all of this, one thing became clear: seniors and families need someone they can trust to guide them through technology with clarity, and understanding from modern digital threats.
At its core, TechShield KC is about continuing a family legacy of service by empowering Kansas City seniors and their families to stay informed, connected, and protected in today’s digital world.
Father and husband, I love spending my time traveling with my family, taking nature photos, and gaming!
